Totem Poles in Stanley Park Park 4

The totem poles in Stanley Park are very colourful and sit majestically right near the seawall overlooking the Vancouver Harbour.  To be honest, there is not much in the travel books about these incredibly crafted monuments.  They are carved out of the western red cedars which can be found in Stanley Park, which was once the home, for thousands of years, to the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish Coast Salish nation in a village named Khwaykhway.  Ok...try to say that three times.

This shows how tall these are with Deb in the foreground.  (She's the one with the umbrella, cause she is a good Vancouver honourary citizen.)

It was pouring rain and really cold while we waited for our trolley to pick us up. These two tourists were trying to ride a double bike with plastic rain coats on, into the wind, in the pouring rain....You go you two!!!

I love this picture of us.  Right in front of the waterfront of Vancouver.

"One of these things don't belong with the others"....myself and all my Asian tourist friends with CAMERAS......just like me.

Our ride is here......that's not it????

I love this sunset picture I took with the geese flying by.

And here is our ride back to our hotel.....Bye Stanley Park....we will be back.
