On our last full day we enjoyed a yummy seafood dinner, with a view of the Victoria harbour at the Wharf Restaurant.
Deb enjoyed the seafood stew....
I had the fish and chips....yummo!
We then caught up, accidentally, with Alexa as she was just leaving work at the Hudson Bay company. You might ask....what does she do there dressed in painting clothes????
She is painting with a company in Victoria. Here she is pointing out her masterpieces that she has painted herself.
Yellow....
Hot pink....that would have been my favourite day painting!!
And this is the area she is painting now.....
The timeshare we were staying was right downtown Victoria, on Government St. It took us all week to check out the roof top area that is owned by the hotel. It was really nicely put together and surprisingly quiet and peaceful.
Alexa and Frances drove us the 30 minute trip to Swartz Bay for our ferry to Vancouver. Along the way, Alexa stopped to show us a beautiful beach about 10 minutes from Swartz Bay. The waves were intense and given what the forecast is predicting, lots of rain, stormy seas, we got a glimpse of it then.
This is a little village of about 12,000 people called Sidney. We enjoyed a lunch and quick visit on our way to the ferry. It was cold by the water and the rain was starting....it actually hasn't stopped yet....:(
Jumping for warmth.....
